Peg's Flower Cottage has been in business now for 28 years!
She has had just about every job you could imagine, but flowers are something she has been in love with since she was a little girl. As a child she would pick dandelions and make flower arrangements. Her favorite flowers are the ones with big blooms and multiple headed like the hydrangea. It's also the only flower you can turn upside down and the petals can drink water.
๐ธMany of you likely know that flowers should be cut at an angle. This is so the stem isn't fully touching the bottom of the vase and it can easily drink water.
What you may NOT have known is that flowers should be cut under water so that their first breath is water and not air. May your flowers live longer now knowing this!
Peggy enjoys bookkeeping and gives credit to her former teacher Roberta Eggelhoff for teaching her. She still uses the same exact method that she was taught by Mrs. Eggelhoff.
