Edward Jones Financial Advisor- Steve Medford
"Worry about the process more than the results."

Steve's business began with him knocking on doors to now, 23 years later, having $400 million in assets.

His passion for investing started when he was 13 years old. He started a lawn mowing business with 30 yards and made $4,000. He invested the money and fell in love with investing.

He attended Lindenwood on a basketball scholarship and majored in finance & communication.
He first started at Edward Jones with an internship as a research analyst.
He used his basketball skills to later coach Marquette for 12 years.

Steve stressed the importance of "planning tomorrow today" and always having tasks and schedules lined out the day before.

He showed the student an example of what it would look like if they invested minimal amount of money starting now and what that looked like in 40 years. They were amazed! He talked about compound interest, mutual funds, showed how the market historically rises over time, time value of money, and so much more!

Fun Fact: The building that he runs his business out of was previously Bray Drug Store.

Thank you, Steve Medford!
