First of all, we want to give a big shoutout to Crystal for coming to speak with us during the heat of tax season! She is the treasurer for the JCBA and a member of Rotary. We are so blessed to have her in this community.

Crystal shared her education background (SIUE) and the criteria and tests required to become a CPA. She had documents created to help students understand the forms a business owner would need and gave examples. She created a sheet to show students exactly how to create an EIN (Employer Identification Number).
Going through the examples Crystal set up really helped us to understand how much you would pay based off of your taxable income.

Can you imagine how beneficial it would have been to learn things like this in high school?! These students are a step ahead of their peers.
